500 Ton Bliss Straight Side, Twin End, Backshaft Driven Mechanical Press, 108" x 54" bed, 10" stroke, 30-60 SPM, 25" Shut Height over bolster, Floor Standing, Allen Bradley Controls
1) Slide Assembly
a) Remachine bottom of slide to parallel
b) Check adjustment assemblies and barrels for proper stack up
c) Check adjustment screws and nuts for proper stack up
d) Fit new Wrist Pin bushings to wrist pins
e) Clean up inside of slide and reassemble and install back into press
2) Counterbalance Assemblies
a) Disassemble inspect and make sure barrels and pistons have good clean surfaces
b) Polish inside of barrels and clean up pistons.
c) Polish counterbalance rods
d) Provide new seals, packings, o rings, and guide bushings.
e) Reassemble and bench test for leaks before installing back into press.
3) Clutch/Brake Assembly
a) Disassemble check all plates for scoring and cracking.
b) Clean up all wear surfaces to make sure condition and thickness good on each plate.
c) Replace all seals and packings and orings in assembly.
d) Replace all clutch and brake liners
e) Reassemble clutch/brake and test for air leaks prior to reassembly onto backshaft
4) Connection Arms
a) Remove existing connection arm bushings, approx. 14” diameter, with new bronze bushings, fitted to connection arm.
b) Reinstalled onto press with grooves cut for proper oil circulation.
5) Thoroughly clean, sand and paint press to customer’s requested paint color
6) Lubrication and Air System
a) Check all lubrication blocks for proper functionality and lube flow.
b) Check all lines throughout press to make sure no cinks to prevent flow.
c) Check and replace lube filter and regulator.
d) Test main lube motor and pump for proper functionality
e) Check all air filters and regulators, and replace if questionable.

Mechanical Recondition Description;
Clutch/Brake Assembly
All New Liners Clutch and Brake
All new Disc pins and Bolt in Bushings
New Seals and Packings
Slide Assembly;
Remachine bottom of slide to parallel
clean up inside of slide and prime paint
Replace all wear strips with new Micarta liners
remove Adjustment housings and screws and machine to clean up
check adjustment nut for proper clearance and clean up and reinstall
Replace wrist pin bushings with new and clean up wrist pins and fit
Counterbalance Assemblies;
Replace all seals, packings and guide bushings
Polish rods and clean up pistons and wipe down barrel for proper reassembly
Replace Upper Connection Arm Bushings with new Bronze material
Fit to connection arm and reassemble to crankshaft
Machine top and bottom of bolster plate
Machine all (4) gibbs
Check out all of the lube and air system to make sure it is in good working order
