600 Ton Verson Straight Side Eccentric Geared mechanical Press

Recondition Explanation;
Slide Assembly
Removed Slide and Completely disassembled
check Adjustment Screws and nut to make sure proper clearance
checked Adjustment Screw Housings and Adjustment assemblies to insure
In good working order
Clean and Chase all threads to prevent burring
Removed Overload Assemblies and checked piston and polished to make sure
that a proper seal is maintained
Replace all seals and packings with new; reassembled and tested to make sure that
they properly hold pressure.
Had Olmstead overload valve sent in for complete rebuild. Once received back;
installed valve and tested to make sure that it properly pumped up overloads
and that the overloads maintained pressure once pumped up.
Bolster Plate; removed and machined top and bottom to parallel
(4) Gibbs; removed and machined to parallel
Bottom of slide assembly; machined to parallel
Replaced all gibb Liners with new Micarta Liners
Counterbalance Assemblies;
Disassembled and polished rods and pistons and lightly honed cylinder to make sure that everything is properly moving; free of friction.
Replaced all seals and packings and guide bushings
Reassembled and tested to make sure that there is no leaks
Lubrication and Air System;
Tested all components i.e., lube metering blocks, lube pump and motor, to make sure that everything is working properly and that oil is freely moving throughout all press components and bronze bushings.
